New York Knicks coaching search hits snag
Digest more
Since firing Tom Thibodeau after losing in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks have had one of the most bizarre coaching searches in recent memory. While the team was rumored to be in the market for the Mavericks’ Jason Kidd, that has become one of many options for the Knicks to fall through.
It has been reported that the Dallas Mavericks denied a request to interview Jason Kidd, the Minnesota Timberwolves said no to Chris Finch, the Houston Rockets did the same with Ime Udoka, the Atlanta Hawks rejected a Quin Snyder interview, and the Chicago Bulls also shut down the idea of Billy Donovan.
If the team's real plan was to poach another team's coach, that shows a level of organizational incompetence that Barkley is right to roast them for having. However, we'll give the Knicks the benefit of the doubt until we see who their next head coach is.
