A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on an upper level of the Rosslyn Metro station in a confrontation with Arlington police officers who were investigating a report of a man with a knife, the Arlington County Police Department said.

A person was shot and two officers were injured in an officer-involved shooting at the Rosslyn Metro Station Tuesday afternoon, Arlington County officials said.

A man was shot by police at the Rosslyn Metro station near the start of the Tuesday evening rush hour. The incident started around 3:45 p.m. when police were dispatched to the Safeway at 1525 Wilson Blvd in Rosslyn for a report of a man who pulled a knife on store employees.
