FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A 10th victim has died from the fire that ripped through a Massachusetts assisted-living facility earlier this week, officials said Thursday.
The fire that claimed nine lives at an assisted-living facility in Fall River, Massachusetts, "was destined to kill 50-plus people," according to the local fire chief.
Dignity Alliance, an advocacy coalition, is calling on state legislators to ramp up assisted living laws based on forthcoming state report.
