The 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman signed Wednesday to play his college football at Michigan State University after helping lead the Eagles to 14 playoff games, four semifinals, four Tri-Valley Conference championships and two state-final appearances in his high school career.

FRANKENMUTH, Mich. (WJRT) - Frankenmuth defensive lineman Derrick Simmons signed with Michigan State University on Wednesday. Simmons had seven sacks and 20 tackles for loss this past season with the Eagles. He helped lead Frankenmuth to the state championship game in two of the past four years.
