After initially committing to this week’s Hero World Challenge, the 20-man event hosted by Tiger Woods every December, Finau pulled out at the last minute due to undisclosed reasons. The PGA Tour Communications team released an updated field on Monday morning, which included 2023 Ryder Cup player Sepp Straka taking Finau’s place.

Tony Finau is no longer in the field for this week's Hero World Challenge, the annual exhibition event in the Bahamas hosted by Tiger Woods. Finau has not commented and tournament organizers have not given a reason for his withdrawal as of Monday afternoon.

Dustin Johnson has added European Ryder Cup player Thomas Pieters to his 4Aces GC team in the first of what is set to be many moves of the LIV Golf off-season. Pieters joined LIV Golf in February 2023 and played for Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC side in his first two seasons.
