Houston Christian's first NCAA baseball tournament since 2015 came to an end on Saturday with a 7-4 loss to Kansas State. The Huskies, who finished sixth in the Southland Conference regular season but won the postseason tournament, fell behind 5-0 after two innings but rallied with a pair of runs in the last two innings.

AUSTIN — Texas turned six hits and an error into a five-run fifth inning to break open the game, and the No. 2 national seed Longhorns defeated Houston Christian 7-1 in the Austin Regional on Friday. The Longhorns (43-12) play the winner of a game between UTSA and Kansas on Saturday. The Huskies (32-24) meet the loser in an elimination game.

Kansas State got a pitching gem from Lincoln Sheffield and 3-run homer from Keegan O'Connor in a 7-4 elimination game win over Houston Christian.
