Snow created an eerie atmosphere on January 4, as a lake-effect fall spread heavily across the northern part of New York state.Footage recorded by Richard Hulburd of the X account @Weather_buffalo shows what Hulburd described as “almost five feet of snow” coating Camden in a thick blanket.

Several communities that reside near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario have received significant amounts of snow over the past few weeks, and some are on pace for record totals.
