Some of the best teams remaining in this year's Little League Softball World Series will take to the field Thursday in the semifinals of the Purple and Orange Brackets.

On a shortened day of play on Wednesday, August 6 due to the programmed Athletes Unlimited Softball games, and amidst the rain, the Central and Southeast Region teams moved on to the next stage of bracket play.

Overall, the 12 teams will compete in a modified double-elimination format until the championship games, which are single elimination. The games will be shown on ESPN+, ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.
