The U.S. government's ban against ByteDance products has hit folks hard, but Second Dinner says Marvel Snap "isn't going anywhere."

The Marvel Comics digital game counts Nuverse as its publisher, which like TikTok is owned by the Chinese conglomerate ByteDance.

Marvel Snap was removed from digital platforms in the U.S. yesterday, as a result of the country's ban on TikTok.

Not only was Marvel Snap just banned in the US, its developer wasn't even told this was happening, so they couldn't let fans now.

In a statement, developers Second Dinner and publisher Nuverse said the game was unexpectedly impacted by the takedown of TikTok on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Notably, RedNote (Xiaohongshu) is still available for download from the U.S. app store, despite being a Chinese-owned platform subject to China's data privacy and censorship laws. In the lead-up to TikTok's banning, many users have flocked to the video-forward platform as a potential alternative.
