Season 3 of "Reacher" has been a lot of fun so far. Alan Ritchson's massive ex-military hero has been skulking around a mansion trying to solve the disappearance of a DEA informant in the Jack Reacher-as-sleuth story we didn't know we needed.

This episode, “Smackdown,” promises more Paulie Drama with the following description: “As Reacher and Paulie’s working relationship grows even more strained, the mission — and Reacher’s safety in Beck’s organization – is jeopardized by a tragic DEA misstep. Reacher, Duffy, and Villanueva must concoct an impromptu plan to salvage the mission.”

The fifth episode of Reacher Season 3 sees the good guys losing some of their allies and the titular character meeting his old nemesis.

With one major twist, Reacher Season 3 quietly solved one of its biggest mysteries and set up everything for the big finale. For fans of the Lee Child novel, Persuader, the events of Reacher 's most recent episode weren't exactly a surprise, but, the way this twist plays out in the show impacts everything that comes later.
