Officers responded to the 3600 block of NE 28th Street — in north Fort Worth near Haltom City — about 8:40 a.m. on March 13 regarding a shooting call. They found the man with a gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.

A Fort Worth man is dead, police say, killed in an apparent road rage shooting Thursday morning northeast of downtown.

Fort Worth police say one person was shot in a road rage incident on NE 28th Street on Thursday morning. The victim was taken to the hospital with upper body injuries. A person of interest was detained but has not yet been arrested.
