The bodies of five skiers have been found on a glacier above the Swiss resort town of Zermatt, authorities said, and another person was killed following an avalanche in a village north of there.

Five skiers were found dead on the Adler Glacier in the Swiss Alps, after a report of abandoned skis was made to police.

The bodies were found after skiers reported seeing abandoned skis at the bottom of Rimpfischhorn summit. Authorities haven’t yet identified the bodies.
