A judge has denied Universal Music Group 's motion to stay discovery in Drake 's defamation case, meaning the rapper will get access to UMG and Kendrick Lamar 's contract agreement.

Drake made some progress in his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” after a judge denied Universal’s request to stay the discovery process and allowed Drake to proceed in requesting access to documents,

UMG was denied its request to delay discovery in the lawsuit after the company said Drake's document requests put an "undue burden" on the company.
