Consequential games across the SEC had AP top 25 voters rethinking the order around the top of the updated college football rankings as we move into Week 13 action.

Georgia would replace Alabama as a top-four seed and receive a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff on a bracket based on the new Top 25.

Georgia football secured a huge 2027 recruiting win on Saturday, and well ahead of the Texas game by landing an Alabama, Tennessee target.

Three years ago, Georgia had won the past two national titles, and Alabama had won half of the 12 before that. Oklahoma and Texas, meanwhile, were the Big 12’s big-money powers who were without any titles since before Bama’s campaign began in 2008.
