A federal judge is continuing his investigation into whether the Trump administration defied court orders in a high-profile immigration case involving the Alien Enemies Act, he said Wednesday.

"I've signed many of them over the years," retired U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin said of amicus briefs from former jurists. "But nothing like now. Now, it's like every other week somebody is circulating a brief.
