A Long Island garbage truck driver died in a fiery crash that left his vehicle overturned. His passenger was airlifted to an area hospital.

Xavier Angulo Espinoza was driving a garbage truck eastbound on Sunrise Highway Service Road, near Southern State Parkway, when he lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn at 11:48 a.m.

His vigil was held at the site of the crash on the Sunrise Highway Service Road near the Southern State Parkway exit.
