As Bueckers and her Wings teammates prepare for their first game of the season, a recent report revealed the former UConn guard's involvement in a business venture off the court. According to Grant Afseth, Bueckers has agreed to a deal to become the first athlete Creative Director at DoorDash.
The No. 1 pick of the 2025 WNBA draft scored 15 points as the Wings claimed an 119-52 win over the Toyota Antelopes of the Women's Japan Basketball League. The crowd gave Bueckers a loud cheer as she took the court at College Park Center for her first WNBA action at home. Bueckers was visible early in the game as both a playmaker and scorer.
