A Monmouth County woman has been arrested and charged after nearly hitting a group of Girl Scouts while she was speeding in her car, Middletown Township police said. The woman, who lives in Middletown, was arrested on July 17 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, endangering another and reckless driving, police said.

Ticonderoga, N.Y. — A 9-year-old girl who was reported abducted Saturday evening in Upstate New York has been found dead with “no indication” of having been abducted, troopers said.
