After storms led to flooding and dangerous road conditions across, an extreme heat warning has been issued for the immediate Kansas City region from noon Saturday through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Kansas City said that parts of Chillicothe, Missouri, had already seen two to four inches of rain Thursday evening. Street flooding has been reported in the area. You can see flooding near the tree line and street in the photos below.
Flash flood warnings were issued for multiple areas of the metro, including Independence, Raytown, and Blue Springs.
