More than 1,000 demonstrators are expected to rally in West Palm Beach today for 'No Kings Day,' a nationwide event protesting Donald Trump on his birthday.

The keynote speaker downtown was the former Trump associate Lev Parnas, who denounced the president's circle as a personality cult.

Late Wednesday night, the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League shelter was alerted to a case involving over 50 cats kept in filthy conditions in Naples. By Thursday morning, the rescue said its team was on the road, returning with more than 20 of the most urgent cases, many needing immediate medical care.
