Rory McIlroy lashed out at the toughest golf course in the country Friday as Oakmont Country Club continued to bare its teeth at the 156 men competing in the 2025 U.S. Open. Though McIlroy was hardly the only golfer to be frustrated by the difficulties he faced in Western Pennsylvania, he was perhaps the most demonstrative of the bunch.

The world's best golfers have had a terrible time of it over the first two rounds of the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont, with even Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler visibly frustrated at times.

The first round of the U.S. Open was played under sunny skies and no rain at the Oakmont Country Club on June 12. The field might not be as lucky for the second round. The weather forecast calls for more of a rain chance, especially between Noon and 5 p.m. According to weatherunderground.com.
