Unlocking a smartphone on Verizon is easy, especially in 2025. In fact, it’s so easy that Verizon doesn’t need to offer an unlock portal or some guideline on how to unlock your phone.

Verizon customers can currently unlock their devices after 60 days, but the carrier is petitioning the FCC to push that up to six months.
