Turns out that crypto bros love “Comedian,” Maurizio Cattelan’s now-infamous work consisting of a banana with duct tape, a spoof of art-world capitalism.

Justin Sun — the crypto entrepreneur and Chinese billionaire who purchased the viral banana-taped-to-a-wall painting for more than $6 million — shared a video on social media of himself eating the art piece.

The vendor who sold the banana received only a quarter for the fruit. The buyer of the conceptual work has offered his stand a bigger payday, but logistical problems may be in the way.
