State police are investigating after a Kansas woman died Tuesday evening aboard an Air France flight to Boston.
Barbara DiPoli, 53, a US Army veteran and former member of the Kansas Air National Guard, was identified as the woman who died while on an Air France flight home after celebrating her retirement
The individual fell ill shortly after the flight departed from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport on Tuesday, and a doctor onboard was unable to rescue them.

Massachusetts State Police said the woman’s death appeared to result “from a medical episode during the flight”
Calling it “an unattended death” aboard the flight, Massachusetts State Police said someone called the Crime Scene Services Section about the death.
