Sabres lose battles, which means a loss in Seattle
The Buffalo Sabres weren’t ready to play, weren’t ready to battle and weren’t ready to win a hockey game in Seattle. The Kraken scored three different times immediately after Buffalo had scored which is another huge weakness of this team.

Kraken too much to handle for Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres have now been swept in three-of-four season series against the Seattle Kraken. A 6-4 defeat on Monday at Climate Pledge Arena inexplicably dropped the blue and gold to 1-7-0 all-time against the Kraken.
The Sabres staged a comeback in the second period, tying the score at 3-3 on goals from Jason Zucker and Thompson. Once again, the Kraken responded quickly, with defenseman Jamie Oleksiak pinching down from the offensive blue line to bury a one-timer just 56 seconds after Thompson had scored the tying goal.
The Sabres fell to 1-7 against the Kraken since Seattle joined the league in 2021, easily their worst record against any current NHL team. Seattle has outscored the Sabres 40-24
Jared McCann had a goal and two assists while John Hayden, Chandler Stephenson, Matty Beniers, Jamie Oleksiak and Adam Larsson also scored for Seattle. Ryker Evans tallied a pair of assists, and goalie Joey Daccord stopped 25 of 29 shots. The Sabres went 1-for-3 on the power play and killed one of two shorthanded situations.
The Buffalo Sabres fell short in a 6-4 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Monday afternoon at Climate Pledge Arena.

Less than a minute later, the Kraken were back in front as Oleksiak finished off a play started by the good work behind the goal by Jared McCann and Shane Wright. McCann won a puck away from Buffalo’s Owen Power along the boards, passed to Wright and the young center found Oleksiak flashing between the circles for his fourth goal.
