Atlanta United has completed the signing of Miguel Almiron from Newcastle United. The Athletic reported on January 15 the MLS side had tabled a bid worth £11million ($13.5m) for the 30-year-old Paraguayan who will return to Atlanta six years after he left the club to join Newcastle.
The now-former Newcastle United man is not the first high-profile MLS export to return to the league with fuel still in the tank.
