The NHL unveiled its quarter-century team for the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday. Representing the top players who have suited up for the Hurricanes over the past 25 years, the first team is highlighted by forwards Sebastian Aho,
The NHL is revealing quarter century teams for every team in the league and today, they revealed the Carolina Hurricanes First and Second Quarter-Century Teams. The members were voted on by a panel comprised of local media, retired players and club executives.
The franchise's leader in game-winning goals potted the 60th of his career on a one-timer teed up by Martin Necas 59 seconds into the extra frame, converting the only shot attempted by either club in overtime. Aho has scored the game-winner in all four of Carolina's overtime victories this season.
Philipp Kurashev had a bounce-back game, but the Chicago Blackhawks coughed up two leads — including a two-goal advantage.
