NEW YORK, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, police said. The shooting occurred around 2:40 a.m. in front of 142 Rockaway Ave. Police say the victim, Steven Battle of Third Avenue, the Bronx, was shot by an unknown individual who fled the scene in a black Cadillac SUV.
