A man charged with killing former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband on June 14 says he's looking forward to the facts coming out.

Vance Boelter allegedly claimed he had been “approached” by Gov. Tim Walz and ordered to kill the state’s two U.S. senators because “Tim wants to be senator.”

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has announced a special election to fill the seat of state Representative Melissa Hortman. On Friday Walz's office said the election will take place September 16th, with a primary set for August 12th if necessary.
