Health Canada has issued a recall notice for more than 260,000 above-ground swimming pools sold in Canada since the early 2000s after nine children drowned in the United States.

More than 5.2 million aboveground swimming pools sold across the US and Canada over the last two decades are being recalled after nine drowning deaths were reported.

Hundreds of thousands of electrical outlets that were sold in Canada have been recalled due to a potential fire hazard, officials say. Health Canada said in a notice Thursday that consumers should “immediately stop using” the product.
