On Saturday at 5:50 a.m. the National Weather Service reported an air quality alert in effect until Sunday at 6 a.m. The alert is for Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Platte, Clay and Jackson counties.

At 3:46 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service reported an air quality alert in effect until Monday at midnight for Cayuga and Oswego counties.
