An execution date has been set for Texas death row inmate Robert Roberson. But the “shaken baby syndrome" case is far from over.

A judge has set a new execution date for a Texas man who had been set last year to become the first person in the U.S. to be put to death for a murder conviction tied to a diagnosis of shaken baby syndrome.

Robert Roberson's legal team has 89 days to try and find a way to save his life. His team wants a new trial, calling the evidence used to convict him was 'junk science.' The team also says they have new medical evidence to present.
