Gov. Tim Walz activated the state military's cyber forces to help ensure public services continue to run as the city of Saint Paul battles an ongoing cyberattack.

In response to a cyberattack, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz issued an emergency executive order bringing National Guard soldiers to active duty.

While these types of attacks occur frequently across the country and the state, it's the first time the National Guard's cybersecurity unit has been called upon to help restore critical services.
