Red-hot Florida struck for six runs in its first at-bat and cruised to a 8-2 pounding of top-ranked Texas to continue the home team's recent tailspin.

With Saturday's 5-2 win over Florida, Texas snapped a four-game losing streak in SEC play and inched closer to a conference championship.
