Toyota said on Wednesday that it will launch a total of nine fully-electric models in Europe in 2025 and 2026 for its Toyota and premium Lexus brands to compete in a large EV market.

Toyota announced updates to its European EV offerings, including an electric version of the Toyota C-HR called the C-HR Plus, and a refreshed bZ4X that addresses many of the electric crossover’s shortcomings.

At Toyota ’s annual product strategy event last week in Brussels, the Japanese automaker announced it will introduce six new battery electric vehicles in Europe by the end of next year, plus another three from its luxury brand Lexus .

Early Wednesday morning in Europe, Toyota unveiled four new or significantly updated electric vehicles — and Lexus managed to sneak one in, too. Even more enticing than the new product, though, was the teaser that came along with it: a shadowy image that previewed an upcoming electric pickup truck and electric Land Cruiser-esque EV while suggesting both would be revealed by the end of 2026.

Revealed today for the European market, the electric C-HR+ is largely unrelated to the C-HR with which it shares 80% of its name. Indeed, the C-HR+ is not only distinguished from

Toyota’s C-HR compact SUV is going electric. The swoopy battery-powered SUV was revealed in Europe, and initially looks to be for the continent only. Dubbed the C-HR+, Toyota said it would be launched in selected European countries this year before a wider rollout across the union next year.
