The Japanese corporation SoftBank Group has shown interest in investing as much as $25 billion in OpenAI, which would make it the organization’s biggest financial sponsor. According to a Bloomberg report,

Japanese tech giant SoftBank Group Corp is considering investing up to $25 billion in OpenAI, the developer of the widely used artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, the Financial Times reported Thursday.

SoftBank is in talks to invest as much as $25bn into OpenAI, in a deal which would make it the ChatGPT maker’s biggest financial backer, as the pair partner on a massive new artificial intelligence infrastructure project.
