Chelsea players have decided to donate a portion of their Club World Cup bonuses to the family of Diogo Jota and André Silva, according to The Athletic. Jota and Silva were killed in a July car crash in Spain.

The decision was made jointly between the Stamford Bridge club and the members of Enzo Maresca’s squad, with the west Londoners earning £84.4m from winning the FIFA tournament in the United States, equating to just over £368,000 per player.

After winning FIFA's Club World Cup last month, Chelsea will use a portion of its bonus money for a good cause.

Jota and his brother died in a car accident in Spain on July 3, 10 days prior to Chelsea's Club World Cup final victory.
