A Thai construction tycoon and 14 others surrendered to police on Friday over a building collapse that killed nearly a hundred workers during a powerful earthquake in March, authorities said.

A construction magnate and more than a dozen other people have surrendered to police on criminal negligence charges for the collapse of a Bangkok high-rise during a March 28 earthquake.

The building, meant to house Thailand’s State Audit Office, was the only structure in the Southeast Asian country to collapse in the quake in neighbouring Myanmar, killing 92 people. View on euronews
