The college football regular season came to an end after a wild Week 14. As such, several programs are right on the outside of the College Football Playoff. One of those teams is the Ole Miss Rebels.

Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart is taking home an honor given to the top college football player in the state of Mississippi each season.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart won the 2024 C Spire Conerly Trophy. Dart was awarded at a ceremony Tuesday night at the Sheraton Flowood, the fourth time in the last five years that the Conerly Trophy will belong to the Rebels.

Dart returned to Ole Miss in 2024 with hopes of leading the Rebels to the College Football Playoff. Those hopes have lessened after losses to Kentucky, LSU and Florida this season, but even if Ole Miss isn't able to backdoor its way into the playoff, Dart's time in Oxford should be remembered for how much he accomplished in the Rebels program.

For the fourth time in the last five years Ole Miss is home to the top college football player in Mississippi. On Tuesday Jaxson Dart was named the 2024 winner of the Conerly Trophy, which is presented to that season’s best player in the state.
