BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Flights to and from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport are expected to be impacted by the winter storm. Officials from the Baton Rouge Metro Airport are monitoring the incoming winter storm and expect possible disruptions of flight schedules and airport operations.

Gov. Jeff Landry and state leaders will be talking about severe winter weather bringing snow to Louisiana in a Monday afternoon press conference.

A potent winter storm is expected to impact southern Louisiana and southern Mississippi on Tuesday. A surface low will develop near the southeast Texas coast. Moisture in association with this system will stream northward into our area.
