The Chanticleers have enjoyed a charmed spell as of late, vanquishing 24 straight foes en route to a second appearance in the College World Series. Their latest win proved dramatic — after locking horns with Arizona for the better part of seven innings, Kevin Schnall's side burst things open with a three-run outburst in the eighth.

LSU led 5-3 after three innings when the grounds crew rolled out the tarp as storm clouds moved over Charles Schwab Field.

A near three-hour delay began in the top of the fourth inning with LSU on top, 5-3.
