This Sunday, Taylor Fritz captured his first title of the year with a 6–3, 7–6 win over Alexander Zverev in the final of the BOSS Open in Stuttgart. The result also allowed the American to climb in the ATP Rankings.

Zverev praised Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, acknowledging the level of tennis they provided in the title clash on Court Philippe-Chatrier. World no. 3 understands the young guns are ahead of him, and he wants to catch up.

Top seed Alexander Zverev reached the Stuttgart Open semi-finals on Friday, and so did Felix Auger-Aliassime by stopping German teenager Justin Engel. Zverev defeated American Brandon Nakashima 7-5, 6-4 in one and a half hours.
