🚨 Slo-mo Video 🚨 The crank shaft of Shay No. 11, powered by three vertical steam cylinders, turns to provide the necessary power for climbing the steep mountain grades of the Cass Scenic Railroad. No. 11 was built in 1923 by the Lima Locomotive Works for the Hutchinson Lumber Co. of Oroville, Ca. Following its logging career, the locomotive was conveyed to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum where it was cared for until being sold to Cass in 1997. Today, No. 11 can often be seen powering the
